Lady of the hill.

I’ve been having a hill of a week.

Up and down. Up and down.

While I’ve been feeling physically better- I bleached the absolute shit out of my hair to get it back to my natural color. That’s the down hill part.

Since my last post I’ve actually been able to get out of bed and clean! No person has ever written about their satisfaction with being able to get out of bed in the morning and do 5 loads of laundry plus clean a dirty ass kitchen including piles of dishes (thanks kids!), vacuum the house – including the stairs, and then put the laundry away.

Usually all that housework would build up (well, the laundry was) for weeks before I could make an attempt to at least wash my work clothes.

It feels amazing to have gotten so much done.

I got more than just chores done…

I decided after years of coloring my hair a level 2, I decided to get back to my natural color, which is an blonde Ash level 9.

First it turned blue with grey with green. I was puzzled. I lightened my hair to a yellow level 9/10. The color I chose had a violet base. Or did it… No. It was a blue base. Oops! So I corrected it with more bleach (not a good idea if you like nice soft hair). Then I was left to tone it. And then tone it again. My skin tone does not look good with any orange brass!

After all was damaged and done- the ends of my poor hair were like elastic gummies. Now- being a self proclaimed Pinterest addict, I searched my pins and new pins for “how to save damaged hair” but I knew deep down the damage I had infilcted on my hair (too much bleach and a chemical reaction) could not be fixed with egg whites, avocado, and coconut oil. It had to be cut. So that’s what I did. I had the back of my head shaved- not Britney style- just in the back, below my ears. I had the stylist take another 6 inches off, all over. It’s layered and chin length (Picture Rachel McAdams or Kristen Wiig with their choppy chin length cuts- they were the inspiration).

Did I mention my router needs replaced? Or my youngest talking back and getting grounded? Which resulted in my oldest taking my youngest sons hamster away- which caused a fight. But they both ate the fruit salad I made and a new chicken recipe- so there’s that.

Yep. It’s been a hill of a week.
